The Route

A popular route with many local cyclists, this 75K bike tour circles Mt. Ida. Ride the scenic valleys of the Salmon River and Deep Creek linked by a broad farming valley east of Glenemma. A few short (less than 1K) climbs will challenge you but these quiet roads are mostly flat to rolling past farms and forests. Watch for five historic community halls along the way, the entrance to the Caravan Farm Theatre, an attractive, newly constructed Carmelite monastery and the Deep Creek Tool Museum.
